Marylebone has been transformed over the last ten yeras to be one of the chicest areas of central London. Marylebone High Street is an almost Parisian boulevard of classy cafes and independent shops. In fact, the owner of most of Marylebone, the De Walden Estate has worked hard to maintain the unique character of the area. Being bordered by Oxford Street to its south, it is also effectively in the very centre of London.
