Flying the flag for independence

5th February 2014

On Lower Sloane Street there are three estate agents; Faron Sutaria, Hamptons and Champions. Nearby there is Beaney Pearce, John D Wood, Chard and Foxtons.

Faron Sutaria, Hanptons and John D Wood are owned by Countrywide, the largest estate agency in the country. Beaney Pearce and Chard are owned by Thamesview, a budding Countrywide. Foxtons is a publicly listed company.

Of these only Champions is independent. Other local agencies such as Bromptons, Chelsea International, Soames  and Friend and Falke have either been bought up, given up their premises or just given up.

Champions is a successful growing company with a quality of service and presentation to rival the larger companies with much deeper pockets. The key to being able to meet our larger rivals head on is our emphasis on long-term relationships with our clients and a level of personal service that a larger organisation would find difficult to match. Because we are independent and because our success depends on the satisfaction and loyalty of our landlords and vendors, we strive to achieve this. Because we are growing and succeeding in competition with  the larger corporations that surround us that success is all the sweeter. And this to us is a very big deal indeed.
